Date night! Jill Duggar enjoyed a piña colada while out with husband Derick Dillard on Saturday, September 5.

“We’ve missed our regular date night outings during [the coronavirus pandemic] and have had lots of in-home dates, but we were able to swap childcare with friends last night for a date!” the Counting On alum, 29, captioned an Instagram selfie.

In the social media upload, the pair smiled while showing off their meals. Beside her plate, which included a burrito, rice and beans, Duggar had a glass of water and an alcoholic beverage.

When an Instagram user asked the 19 Kids and Counting alum what she was drinking, Duggar replied, “A piña colada.”

Another of the Arkansas native’s followers asked, “Virgin piña colada or regular?” Duggar confirmed that it was “regular.”

The former TLC personality’s fan base showed their support for her decision, writing “Live your best life” and “Good for you girl.” (In 2014, Jill and her sister Jessa Duggar exclusively told Us Weekly that their family members abstain from alcohol, and Jessa, 27, called an accidental sip of spiked punch “disgusting.”)

She and Dillard, 31, are the parents of Israel, 5, and Samuel, 3, and revealed in April that they are on the fence about expanding their family.

The law school student called their plans “not definite” during a “First Class Fatherhood” podcast episode at the time, explaining, “We’re just kind of enjoying life.”

The couple, who wed in June 2014, have previously spoken candidly about their sex lives. Jill recommended having intercourse “3-4 times a week” in an August 2019 blog post, noting that despite “life changes … the fire in your marriage doesn’t have to die out.”

That same month, her husband encouraged readers of his blog to have sex “5-6 times (or more) a week [as a] good start.”

Dillard explained at the time: “You need to keep yourself ‘joyfully available’ for your wife, because only you can fulfill certain desires she might have. When you may not be able to actually have intercourse for a period of time or for health issues, find other ways to have fun and be intimate. Let your spouse know that you’re always available.”
