Working dad! Artem Chigvintsev is officially living separately from his fiancée, Nikki Bella, and their 1-month-old son, Matteo, while filming Dancing With the Stars.
“Finally got situated in my trailer for the next, hopefully, 11 weeks,” the pro, 38, said on his Thursday, September 10, Instagram Story. “Welcome to my house. I need to swap those pictures behind me to Matteo’s pictures to feel like I’m actually home.”
The Russian dancer went on to share the agenda for his “exciting day,” explaining, “We’re shooting our opening number, plus we’re doing our first pictures with our celebrity partners. Excited to do that and finally maybe share with you, I guess on the 14th still, who we’re dancing with. It’s getting closer. I think there’s only two days of rehearsals left and then there’s showtime so get excited.”
The Strictly Come Dancing alum concluded with a photo of the Total Bellas star, 36, and their baby boy. “Missing my loves already @thenikkibella,” Chigvintsev gushed.
He and the former professional wrestler became parents in July when the California native gave birth after a 22-hour labor.
“Oh, I was sobbing, like, so bad,” the new dad told Entertainment Tonight last month of Matteo’s arrival. “Like, I don’t think people have seen a man sobbing like that. It was awful, but in the most joyful way. I was picking that baby up and putting him on me. And the baby, like, halfway opened his eyes and it just made me feel like, ‘Oh, my God. This is the most incredible thing.’ This is like the miracle that people talk about, you know? So just that whole experience, I want to relive every single day. Honestly.”
The following month, news broke that Chigvintsev was joining the season 29 DWTS cast. “That has left me alone with Matteo and because of COVID-19, I don’t have any help,” Nikki said during a “Total Bellas Podcast” episode at the time. “It’s just me.”
The E! personality’s twin sister, Brie Bella, and her husband, Daniel Bryan, have been an “amazing help,” Nikki added.
