Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Domestic equity market benchmarks BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 trimmed their morning losses but were still trading in the negative territory. Sensex was hovering above 37,900, while the broader Nifty 50 index was nearing the crucial 11,200. IT stocks were leading the gainers pack on the Sensex. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 17 scrips were ruling in the red. ONGC was worst performing stock, followed by L&T, Maruti Suzuki, MUL, M&M, Reliance Industries and HDFC. Among Sensex gainers, TCS, Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, UltraTech Cement and Sun Pharma. Index heavyweights such as RIL, HDFC, HUL, HDFC Bank and L&T contributed the most to the indices’ loss. In overnight trade on Wall Street, US stocks plunged on possible delays in fresh stimulus from Congress. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 2 per cent, while the S&P 500 lost 1.28 per cent. The Nasdaq Composite dropped 0.22 per cent.
