Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Domestic equity market benchmarks BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading firm on Wednesday, tracking the overnight gains on the Wall Street. The S&P BSE Sensex was up 264 points or 0.70 per cent at 38,000 and the broader Nifty 50 index was testing the 11,250. Reliance Industries was top-performing stock today. RIL share price jumped nearly 3 per cent to trade at Rs 2,276.50 apiece after the company announced to receive a fresh investment of Rs 5,550 crore from KKR in its retail business. Among other gainers were Infosys, HCL tech, Asian Paints, L&T, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, ITC. On the flip side, Bharti Airtel shares were down 3 per cent at Rs 456 apiece. Tata Steel, TCS, Power Grid Corporation of India, NTPC, ONGC and Bajaj-Auto were among other Sensex laggards. Barring Nifty Metal and Nifty PSU Bank indices, all the sectoral indices were trading in the positive territory. Among investors’ category, NIIs portion was subscribed 2.31 times and those of retail individuals investors 3.31 times. Chemcon Speciality Chemicals IPO subscribed 15.78 times so far on the final day of the bidding process. Retail investors have subscribed their portion 25.41 times, while NIIs subscribed 12.41 times. QIBs have subscribed 1.38 times.
