Best airlines and airports for 2021, according to 10Best readers


Flying is often a fundamental element of travel, and airlines and airports have the ability to make or break a trip. So 10Best looked for the best airlines and airline amenities, as well as the best airports in North America that make getting to your destination a pleasure rather than a pain.

We asked our readers to vote for their favorite airports, airlines and in-flight amenities – and the results are in.

Best Airline: Delta Air Lines

Delta ranks among the most highly rated US-based carriers due to its on-time record (83 percent of flights arrived within 15 minutes of their scheduled time in early 2019), extensive routes, robust frequent flyer program and excellent lounges at airports across America. Even smaller planes have seat-back TVs to keep passengers entertained on their journey.

Best Airport Lounge: Delta Sky Club at John F. Kennedy International Airport

Delta Sky Club makes for a comfortable place to relax no matter which airport you’re waiting at, but the flagship lounge at JFK is a standout. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, plenty of power outlets for recharging devices, fresh food, premium drinks from THE BAR and a huge open seating area with floor-to-ceiling windows offering natural light.

A highlight is the outdoor SkyDeck overlooking the Terminal 4 ramp.

Best Business & First Class: All Nippon Airways
