Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices LIVE: Domestic equity market benchmarks BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 were trading over 1.5 per cent higher in the Wednesday’s afternoon trade following the favourable global cues. The 30-share index Sensex jumped 615 points or 1.71 per cent to trade at 36,648, while the broader Nifty 50 index reclaimed the crucial 10,800-mark and was trading 1.62 per cent or 171 points higher at 10,779. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 26 scrips were ruling in the positive territory with Infosys gaining the most ahead of its June quarter results. IT bellwether was followed by Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Tata Steel, Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance and TCS. On the other hand, Bharti Airtel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ITC, Nestle India were among the top Sensex laggards. Barring Nifty Realty, all the sectoral indices were trading in the green, Nifty IT index was the top sectoral gainer, up 3 per cent followed by Nifty Metal index which gained over one per cent.
Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Ltd will hold its 43rd annual general meeting of shareholders today, through video conferencing or other audio-visual means (OAVM), in the wake of fast-spreading coronavirus pandemic. RIL has said that its first virtual AGM will be a bigger affair than its past shareholder meetings. Besides, Yes Bank has fixed the price band at Rs 12-13 per equity share for its follow-on public offer (FPO) which will be open for subscription from July 15-17.
